Robin Foret is a Managing Memeber at Seltzer Chadwick Soefje & Ladik, PLLC. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Robin is a litigator with an emphasis on labor and employment issues, but also handles commercial disputes. She routinely represents clients in a variety of employment-related and commercial matters in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. Her experience with employment-related matters includes, but is not limited to: theft of trade secrets; copyright infringement, breach of employment agreements; Title VII discrimination, harassment and retaliation; the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; the FMLA; wage and hour issues and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); FINRA related securities matters; severance agreements; and, whistleblower claims. Robin also provides litigation prevention advice and training to numerous companies, which includes developing and providing industry specific guidance on various employment-related issues. Robin is a frequent speaker, and an author of various employment-related articles and blogs. Robin also offers conflict resolution, arbitration and mediation services.

Robin Foret has practiced law in Texas for over 25 years and prides herself in delivering cost-effective legal advice and risk management solutions to clients, both inside and outside of the courtroom. Robin is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She routinely offers advice and risk management training in the employment law and human resources areas. Robin frequently writes articles and gives educational presentations to train employers, managers and their employees on the legal requirements of various employment-related laws and regulations, including hiring, firing and disciplining employees. She also handles conflict resolution of disputes in the workplace. Finally, as a dog sports competitor and someone involved in dog training, Robin has added dog and animal law to her practice.

Robin has an active litigation practice, which includes representing clients in a variety of employment-related and complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Robin's experience includes: wage and hour issues under the FLSA; the FMLA leave; trade secret and copyright litigation; breach of employment agreements; employment tort matters; severance agreements; noncompetition and non-solicitation covenants; worker's compensation and non-subscriber claims; Title VII discrimination, harassment and retaliation matters; ADA and ADEA matters; OSHA compliance; FINRA arbitrations; securities-related litigation; and, whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other statutes.

Education

Robin received her law degree from Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1991. She graduated law school with honors (Cum Laude), and was the Articles/Symposium Editor of the Temple Law Review from 1990 -1991. As Articles/Symposium Editor, Robin had the opportunity to work on a symposium on the Americans with Disabilities Act, which was enacted into law in 1990.

Robin received her undergraduate degree with honors (Cum Laude) in 1983 from Brooklyn College.
